IS ORTHO-K THE CHOICE FOR YOU?

Are you tired of wearing glasses or contact lenses during the day? Do you want to enjoy clear vision without surgery or medication? Do you have a child who is becoming more short-sighted every year?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be interested in orthokeratology (ortho-k), a safe and effective treatment that temporarily corrects vision while you sleep.

Ortho-k is a non-surgical treatment that uses specially designed and fitted contact lenses to reshape the front surface of the eye (cornea). By wearing these lenses overnight while you sleep, you can temporarily correct your myopia (short-sightedness) and see clearly during the day, without the need for glasses or soft contact lenses.

Ortho-k lenses were the original lenses shown to slow down the progression of short-sightedness in children and adolescents and were the first lenses approved by the U.S. FDA for myopia management. Ortho-K has been proven to be safe and effective by many scientific studies.

Whether you want to improve your vision, your appearance, your confidence, or your quality of life, ortho-k can help you achieve your goals. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and see if ortho-k is right for you.

SPECTACLE LENSES FOR MYOPIA CONTROL

Myopia spectacle lenses are designed to correct the required distance prescription in the center of the lens whilst providing a "defocus" zone in the outer regions resulting by using lenslets (Hoya MiYOSMART and Essilor Stellest) or rings (Zeiss MyoCare).

This aims to prevent eye growth (i.e. myopia management) by focusing light rays in front of the back surface of the eye (retina). This mechanism reduces eye elongation and counters the effects of a traditional minus powered lens used to correct short-sightedness (myopia).
Our optometrists and dispensing opticians have undergone additional training to understand these lenses so that we can dispense them accurately and can advise you on the best lens for your individual needs.

Hoya MiYOSMART lenses are now available in photochromic and polarised sunglass (tinted) options

CHOOSING THE RIGHT FRAME

Our kids love Tomato Glasses! These frames were designed by a Korean Optometrist because he could not find comfortable, flexible and well-fitting frames for his son.
Tomato Glasses come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. They can be customized to fit your face comfortably and can be adjusted to change with your child's face as they grow.
They are light, durable and allow for maximum freedom whilst children are out having fun and living life!
We now have mums & dads wearing Tomato Glasses as their "sports/weekend" frames because of how comfortable and light they are.
