Ortho-K works by using a rigid contact lens like a "mold" to gently imprint the required correction on to the surface of your eye (cornea). In a similar way to how dental retainers gently re-shape your teeth over time into the desired position.

OrthoK is a reversible process and if the lens wear is discontinued for a night or two, the prescription will slowly return.

The lenses are worn before bed and removed in the morning immediately on waking.

As the lenses have re-shaped the cornea into the desired prescription, the vision is clear  throughout the day without the need for glasses or daytime contacts.

To maintain clear vision everyday the lenses are worn again each night.
